Best Time To Fish For Bass In Ocean

Bass fishing is a popular habit with many sport anglers. There are two main types of bass, which are considered as prized catches. They are largemouth and smallmouth basses. The former is also known as bigmouth bass, lineside bass, green trout, or black bass. The smallmouth bass is also variously named the brownie, the brown bass or the bronze bass. Both are fresh water fish and are found in secluded, mossy places of lakes and rivers, where they hunt on other smaller fish.

Various tournaments and competitions are also held to encourage bass fishing, both large and small in the US. However, the largemouth bass is more popular and preferred catch. These tournaments are usually held in the months of May, June and July as these are the best time to catch them.

Basses are caught using crayfish, minnows, crank baits, jigs, spinner baits and night crawlers as baits. There are many artificial lures also available along with the live baits mentioned to catch the basses. However, few types of bait may be more attractive to largemouth basses than the other one and vice versa.

The best times of the day to go fishing for basses are early morning and also late evening. This is because basses tend to go into their shelters or hideaways when the sun shines brightly during the other times of the day. So, a cloudy day can also give good opportunity to catch basses. Bottom fishing, bait casting and fly fishing are the best ways to catch basses.
