If you have a dog, you know that some day or the other you would have to be prepared for your dog to die. If you know the symptoms of a dying dog, you can easily make sure that you make your dog comfortable when it is time for him or her to go to the underworld.


No doubt it is hard to lose a dog, as dogs invariably become a part of the family. But you need to be prepared for the inevitable. Just before a dog is about to die, it may show signs like not being agile like it used to be in its younger days, becoming deaf and/or blind, or having incontinence of bowel and urination. Or, it is quite possible that your dog has a terminal disease that is incurable and the vet has told you to be prepared.

If you dog has grown really old and is facing problems getting round, or if it has a terminal disease, then you can speak to your vet about euthanizing it. This decision is not very easy to make, but it is better to for the dog and you rather than making it suffer.
